Xmas is the peak time of the Internet ecommerce year so it’s vital to get your websites, PPC and SEO in place, you really can’t be too early, all the bricks and mortar stores will have already ordered for December. Of course nobody knows yet which toy or gift will go ballistic and be in short supply.
Anyway back to the strategy you probably haven’t touched these sites since last Xmas, so you need to freshen then up, check links, add blog entries, Google likes to see sites being updated, evolving over a long period.

In fact I only remembered because I noticed traffic building for these two sites, which shows I had already missed the beginning of the wave. But thank heavens it’s not too late and determined effort will still provide results.

I have been wanting to setup a site for the holiday’s like the ones you mentioned. Unfortunately, I am too late now and have probably missed the boat. Looks like a good project for next summer. Thanks for the great idea!

It’s never too late if you are able and willing to throw yourself into it, it’s never too late to start a Xmas site, but the earlier the better. You know how the media always mock the stores for starting Xmas so early well it’s from experience they know they need to get stock in early etc. So while you are sunning on the beach in mid summer you’ve got to be planning your Christmas websites!!
