Where Would I Be Without Squidoo?

It’s coming up to the time of the month when Squidoo pays out, so I’m nervously awaiting the moment when the Blue Screen appears with my earnings details. Most of this come from my top 4 or so lens, that earn $2 or more monthly but there are quite a bunch that earn me 8 cents monthly. You may not be terribly impressed but I’m hoping that this will be a series of perpetual passive income streams, and heck I mostly do them for fun. My lens do go up and down though in popularity so it’s not always the same ones that pay out.

Affiliation: Wow I’ve Sold a Bus!

Well not a real bus, a model bus it’s a Double-Decker Bus Collectible Collector Car from the Mattel Hot Wheels Collection which I promote on my Squidoo Lens about the Legendary Routemaster Bus I earned a 60 cents affiliate fee for this, but this is money for nothing as I wrote the lens for fun. Any way I always get a thrill from any affiliate sale. Squidoo is really starting to serious little earner for me! If you by any chance you haven’t tried Squidoo then join here for free

Hot Water Bottles and Routemaster Buses

Now there’s an unusual headline! they are my top two lens on Squidoo.

Squidoo.com/hot-water-bottles is 36th in the Home Section which is really cool (joke).

Squidoo.com/Routemaster-Bus is 66th in Autos.

I’m also pushing my cashbacktips.co.uk site hard as I think this is a hot subject. I’ve just converted this to WordPress to make it easier to update

Passive Earners finally gets Google Page Rank 2

PassiveEarners.com started off as a brand new blog (my first on WordPress) last January so I’m pleased that after just a few months (May 2008) I’ve got Google Page Rank PR2.

It probably helped that I have two other sites with PR

I’ve only recently realised how hot Squidoo is, so I’ve been concentrating on marketing my best lens

1) I’ve blogged it
2) I’ve linked to it from my websites
3) I’ve Stumbled It etc
4) I’ve Email signatured it
5) I’ve signatured it in my postings to Newsgroups (including Web Warriors)
6) I’ve had it critiqued in the Squidoo Critique forum (very useful)

I’ve raised it to 21st in Business while my previous best lens http://www.squidoo.com/iloveamazon is 9000th (no promotion at all).

In fact this the first time I’ve really focussed on one project instead of jumping on to the next one

(Response to a critique of my Squidoo Lens)

I started out thinking that that you could bash out a lens in 5 minutes and that would be enough. Corrspondingly I created 7 (2 deleted). A lot of the things I do on the Web I do spontaneously ie I think of an idea and then go for it, hence the unfocused title of my top Squidoo, but in a way that’s the great thing about the net, you can get things wrong but you haven’t lost your house. But where I was most wrong was seeing Squidoo as traffic source for my other businesses, where as now I am using my other businesses as a source of traffic for Squidoo. Squidoo is currently the hottest thing on the net!!
