I call these mini-businesses they require a little effort to setup but then become passive income steams.

Of course it’s tough at the beginning working on schemes which may never earn money but with time it works and you start to receive payment notices via email and even checks in the post.

So the answer is yes you have to work really hard but unlike your j-o-b it is possible to “work once get paid many times”

But you have to try, you have to take the first steps, you have to believe; I see so many of the people who sign up to say PTC using my referral link only ever visit the PTC website once! ie they give up straight away they never give it a chance (that’s their right of course). Don’t be like them if you take the trouble to sign up for something, say to yourself I will stick at it long enough to properly evaluate if it is right for me!

Neobux is the biggest and the best and my favorite, I’m getting a $13 cashout (PayPal) every four days. Curiously the diagram (by Frank Kern)  above echos my own recent experience, in the last few days I’ve got commission for selling a Salt Pipe from an old blog posting on my Aloe Vera Blog . My Squidoo lens Barbie Versus Bratz sold indirectly a Thomas the Tank Toy . Another Lens Zulu Principle made 24 cents commission from an eBay Sale. Other than that I made a dollar commision from an eBay affiliation link and a few dollars more from Amazon Affiliation links. So it’s getting rich really slowly but it is proof that blogs and lens do sell product.

As shown in the above sketch you just have to keep blogging about things that interest you and eventually you will get traffic and then sales,  it’s just a numbers game!! But it’s not easy and it’s kind of lonely and discouraging to work way for an uncertain reward but that’s what success is all about, that’s what that the success-failure diagram is all about

I am using lots of the free tools as well to enrich my posts, I list these tools here at Keyword Research Tools .  I guess a lot of patience is required in the blogging game. Google Analytics will show you what search terms were you used to find your site, this can give you a few more insights and produces many surprises, one of the terms which produced the most traffic for one of my blogs was “My First Car Boot Sale”.

What you are aiming for is to get into the heads of the average Joe who is searching for information and solutions, what would he type, miss-type in? This is actually difficult for someone who is too close to his subject/website to determine. Use the keyword research tools especially those that reveal what people have actually searched for.
